Her late husband, Jim, Professor Emeritus of education, taught at UNT while Rose raised their four children and served as a volunteer. She was an establishing donor for The Czech Educational Foundation of Texas Dr. Jim J. and Rose A. Bezdek Endowment Fund at UNT. She enjoyed cooking and traveling.
