After his service during World War ll, he earned his business degree at North Texas and worked in oil and gas accounting in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Texas. He ended his career as a financial officer for Richland Hills Church of Christ. After retiring, he raised cattle on his farm in Millsap. He had a gift for storytelling and was known for his warmth and kindness. He met his wife, Lil Campsey Pitchford ('71),  at North Texas. When she died in 2010, they had been married for almost 60 years.</main-content></item>
