Paul “P.G.” Poston

Paul “P.G.” Poston, Temple :: He left college with one semester to go to support the World War II effort, receiving a Presidential Citation in 2017. The industrial arts education major designed classified multi-station ammunition assembly machines that he created as an engineer for Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant near Texarkana. In the 1960s, he developed the first computer data processing division. He retired in 1984, and afterward became known for his golf and play pooling skills. He learned to fly single-engine planes at age 80. He met his wife, the late Mary Neal Conditt (’42), at North Texas, which he attended from the late 1930s to early 1940s.
