She studied music at North in the 1940s and dedicated her life to sharing it with others. She was a Chilton Society member and contributed to several scholarships, including The Ethelston Provence and Lamarr Chapman Music Theory Scholarship and the Ira Lon and Mary Morgan Physics Scholarship. She gifted a Steinway concert grand piano to UNT’s Winspear Concert Hall. She was active in the Music Ministry at First Baptist Church, Austin, composing many worship pieces. She co-founded the Austin Sigma Alpha Iota chapter, participated in the Symphony League and Music Club, and served on the board of Goodwill Industries. She also volunteered at Seton Hospital. Memorial contributions may be made to The Ethelston Provence and Lamarr Chapman Music Theory Scholarship.</main-content></item>
