Denis Anthony Conrady, Terre Haute, Ind., associate professor of computer sciences,
1974-1998, died June 13. He received a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, a
master’s from MIT and a doctorate from Case Institute of Technology. He served in
the U.S. Air Force in Mississippi, Alaska, Florida and Massachusetts and at Colorado’s
U.S. Air Force Academy, where he was the first to teach computer science. He was a
member of what is now the Barbershop Harmony Society for 58 years. He sang with many
quartets and choruses and won 10 international gold medals with one of his favorites,
Dallas’ Vocal Majority.
