      Billy Joe “B.J.” Harrod (’54), Bethany, Oklahoma :: A music major, he was active in musical theatre, performing in New York City opera productions. He served as managing director of the Society of Women Engineers from 1984 to 1995. A scholarship was established in his name after he started a NASA grant program that funded outreach programs for minority and at-risk female students. He served in the U.S Army. He earned his master’s degree in music at Indiana University.
