New Complex Logistics Center

With the opening of UNT's Complex Logistics Systems Laboratory, students and faculty team with industry partners to solve real-world problems faced by top companies. From PepsiCo to Greyhound to BNSF -- the very businesses hiring UNT graduates -- students uncover ways to best manage distribution of goods and services, saving time and money.

The facility, which opened in UNT's Business Leadership Building in 2014, will be part of the coming Logistics Systems Institute to further bring together researchers across disciplines and serve as the intellectual hub for researching complex logistics systems and their potential to impact regional economies in a global network. Logistics experts are offering companies research that can help cut costs and save consumers money.

"We want to be the go-to place where people can get current information about what is happening in logistics and international trade," says Terry Pohlen, associate professor of logistics and director of the Center for Logistics Education and Research.
