The Rev. Kyev Tatum ('91), Fort Worth :: is part of a group, including three alumni and a current student, who have organized the “No Shots Fired” campaign in Fort Worth to prevent crime and bolster their community. They have participated in cleanup events in the summer and launched the Fort Worth Midnight Basketball League and Real Dads Read Community Challenge in November 2017. Tatum serves as servant leader of Kyev Tatum Ministries, as commissioner for the new Midnight Basketball League and as leader of the Tarrant County chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Willie Davis (’68) is president of the Dallas chapter of the National Basketball Retired Players Association and a former player in the American Basketball Association. Harold Stewart (’10) is owner of Crowley-based Stew*Body Fitness, assistant coach of strength and conditioning for the North Crowley High School boys basketball team, and a player with the Texas Rize basketball team. Senior marketing major Joshua Okapara (’18) is president of the UNT Dedicated Men, a group that has served as reading tutors to young children. Willie and Harold both played on the Mean Green basketball team, and Kyev was a member of the Mean Green football team.
