Carol Hagen successfully combines her roles as senior lecturer of teacher education and administration in the College of Education and director of UNT's Child Development Laboratory to make a difference in the lives of students, children and families. For her dedication, Hagen earned the National Coalition for Campus Children's Centers' 2013 Director of the Year Award. Since 1987, she has overseen the laboratory, a high-quality preschool program that also serves as a research center and training site for students pursuing careers in early childhood education, child development and play therapy.
