    With a reputation as a hub for creativity and innovation, it's no surprise UNT was reaffirmed as a Tier One research university by the Carnegie Classification this year. The dedication of student and faculty researchers -- including biophysical geographer Alexandra Ponette-González, at left, with research assistant Jenna Rindy in UNT's Materials Research Facility -- is leading to the discovery of solutions to society's most pressing problems in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment.
