Wesley Randall, professor of logistics and former chair of the Department of Marketing and Logistics, is the new dean of UNT's New College. Randall, whose appointment took effect March 1, replaces former dean Brenda McCoy, who now serves as vice president of strategic initiatives and administration in UNT's Division of Enrollment.

In his new role, Randall is guiding efforts to develop curriculum and programming at the New College. In addition, he is working with colleagues across UNT to help expand the university's presence in Collin County and solidify its partnerships with area community colleges. He also is leading initiatives to increase engagement at the Collin Higher Education Center in McKinney.

Randall started his career as a logistician in the U.S. Air Force. He came to UNT in 2011 as an assistant professor of logistics and the coordinator of the logistics doctoral program.
