Metropolitan Opera Chorus Members
Many College of Music alumni have performed with the Metropolitan Opera Chorus over the years, and three sang on the "Live in HD" recording of The Tempest by Thomas Adès, which took top honors for Best Opera Recording at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. UNT alumni in the chorus for the Deutche Grammophon release were Nathan Carlisle, Juhwan Lee and Dustin Lucas.

Seth Shafer / Vampire Weekend
Current Ph.D. student in music composition Seth Shafer played tuba on several tracks on Vampire Weekend's Modern Vampires of the City, which won the Grammy award for Best Alternative Music Album.
