The UNT Alumni Association has new opportunities for Dallas-Fort Worth area alumni to network with fellow former classmates this summer. The association created four new regional chapters and has set dates for summer chapter mixers.

"Based on survey feedback, the alumni association is working to establish strong alumni programs in the counties with the largest alumni populations," says Rob McInturf, UNT Alumni Association executive director. "We are making strategic decisions with our resources that align with what alumni are telling us they want."

Alumni participating in these chapters identified the following locations and venues:

  • Tarrant County: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, at Bar Louie in Fort Worth
  • Collin County: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, at Mexican Sugar in Plano
  • Dallas County: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Happiest Hour in Dallas
  • Denton County: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Hula Hut in Little Elm

The goal is to stay cool this summer and connected to the vast network of UNT alumni in the region. Individuals can select the event that best fits their schedule and location and RSVP at Regional Chapter Summer Mixers online.
