Jianing Jenny He, Alex Hong and Larry Xiao, students at UNT's Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science, were named semifinalists from more than 1,700 entries in the 2013 Intel Science Talent Search.

The Intel Science Talent Search is the nation's most prestigious pre-college science competition. Each year, 300 students are named semifinalists, and each semifinalist receives a $1,000 award from the Intel Foundation with an additional $1,000 going to each student's school. In the last 19 years, 55 TAMS students have been named semifinalists.
