Record Enrollment

UNT’s fall 2010 enrollment increased 3.8 percent from last fall. Today, 36,118 students are pursuing degrees at UNT, making it the largest, most comprehensive university in the 16-county North Texas region, which is home to the nation’s sixth largest economy.

This fall’s enrollment includes a 6 percent increase in graduate enrollment, at an all-time high of 7,794, and a 7 percent increase in new freshmen. UNT was again ranked in the top 50 for the number of undergraduate degrees awarded to ethnic minority students and is No. 6 on the 2010 Best for Vets list. It also was named by Forbes as one of America’s Best Colleges. Enrollment figures no longer include students at UNT Dallas.
