Kuehne Speaker Series

(Photo by Michael Clements)Andrea Tantaros, who rotates as co-host of Outnumbered and The Five on Fox News Channel and has been a contributor to the network since 2010, spoke in May on national security issues.

Tantaros, once described by The Washington Times as "the most pragmatic personality" on Fox News Channel's The Five for her "calm, yet reasoned, personality mixed with a quick tongue and biting sense of humor," shared with audience members her thoughts on the First Amendment.

Tantaros has worked on high-profile political campaigns, including as communications director for former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld when he was the Libertarian candidate in the 2006 New York governor's race against eventual winner Eliot Spitzer. She also served as a press secretary to Republican leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The UNT Kuehne Speaker Series showcases UNT's nationally and internationally recognized programs on national and human security and faculty members engaged in research related to security issues. The fall edition of the series in November will feature Richard W. Fisher, retired president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas.
