Flags for fallen Eagles

UNT is honoring currently enrolled students who pass away with the lowering of UNT’s green and white flag for seven days at its new pole south of Willis Library on Highland Street. The UNT flag pole and poles for the American and Texas flags were dedicated in August. The UNT flag is placed at half-staff when the Dean of Students Office is informed of the death of a student. Students, faculty, staff and alumni who have died also are honored at the university’s annual Flight Memorial ceremony. The 2012 ceremony is set for April 18 at the Shrader Pavilion.
