The College of Visual Arts and Design has received a $500,000 gift to assist in the enrichment and renaming of the college's already noted fashion design program to the Michael Faircloth Fashion Design Program.
Alumna Lisa Troutt ('85) and her husband, Kenny, have given the first major gift that will support the $2.5 million goal to rename the program. Lisa Troutt was studying fashion design when she met Faircloth ('83), who has continued to work with UNT students. His friendship with Troutt developed into a professional and enjoyable designer-client relationship. Today, Faircloth, a native Texan, is recognized as a national and international artist.
