<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><item href="/class-notes/trista_edwards.html" dsn="news"><item_date>02/13/2026 08:43:07 AM</item_date><title>Trista Edwards</title><firstname>Trista</firstname><middlename/><maidenname/><lastname>Edwards</lastname><graduation_year/><body><p><strong>Trista Edwards (’17 Ph.D.),</strong> Hiram, Georgia, released her poetry book, <em>Death Roll, </em>which uses Ocala, a  taxedermic alligator-doll hybrid, to explore the loss of a loved one and the arrival of a baby. Since graduating from UNT, she owned and operated the Marvel + Moon candle shop for six years while simultaneously building a career in independent publishing as a developmental editor and acquisitions specialist at the Austin-based hybrid publisher Atmosphere Press — all while actively writing and publishing her own work.</p>
