Terrence W. Houvouras, Houston retired in 2013 after teaching for 40 years — 32 in the Houston ISD. For more than 20 years, he served as vice president of the Houston Federation of Teachers (AFT). He has played trumpet in the Clear Lake Symphony for 18 years.
