Robert J. 'Jack' Duncan (’71 M.A., ’97 M.S.), McKinney, researched and wrote several entries for the Handbook of Texas, a digital state encyclopedia developed by the Texas State Historical Association. He and his wife, Elizabeth, were honored as Fellows of the Texas Folklore Society. He is compiling a book manuscript about the illustrations and illustrators of Texas Folklore Society Publications. At UNT, he earned a bachelor’s and master of arts in economics and a master’s in interdisciplinary studies. One of his mentors is Frances B. Vick, former director of UNT Press.
