Kristin Kipp

Kristin Hodgkins Kipp (M.Ed.), Evergreen, Colo. was named 2011 National Online K-12 Teacher of the Year by the Southern Regional Education Board and the International Association for K-12 Online Learning. She is an online English teacher at Jefferson County’s 21st Century Virtual Academy, based in Golden, Colo., which serves high school students throughout the state. She teaches 11th- and 12th-graders, is instructional leader for the English department and also serves as a course reviewer/reviser and part-time adjunct English teacher with Colorado Online Learning. The judging committee selected five finalists from 65 nominations of online educators in public schools and state virtual schools in 25 states.
