<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><item href="/class-notes/jody-edward-ginn.html" dsn="news"><item_date>09/25/2019 10:31:00 am</item_date><title>Jody Edward Ginn</title><firstname>Jody</firstname><middlename>Edward</middlename><maidenname/><lastname>Ginn</lastname><graduation_year>'14</graduation_year><body>Jody Edward Ginn ('14, Ph.D.), Austin, released his book, East Texas Troubles: The Allred Rangers’ Cleanup of San Augustine (University of Oklahoma Press), which tells of the inaugural effort by Texas Governor James V. Allred to transform the Texas Rangers into a professional law enforcement agency after organized crime took over San Augustine County in the 1930s. Ginn is a former law enforcement officer and teaches history at Austin Community College. A multimedia consultant, writer and producer, he also co-wrote the book Palmito Ranch: From Civil War Battlefield to National Historic Landmark.</body><image><img src="/sites/default/files/class-notes/jody_ginn_book_cover_cropped.jpg" width="250" height="206" alt=""/></image><alumni_association_member>No</alumni_association_member><author/><type>class-notes</type><categories/><relationships/><main-content>
