Jo Watkins

Jo Merrily Watkins (’65), Houston, is enjoying her life in retirement. An art education major, she taught art classes for four years at Dallas ISD before moving to Houston, where she raised her two sons and worked as a substitute teacher. As a transfer student at North Texas, she took classes in sculpture, weaving, pottery and jewelry making. “My two years at NTSU were a wonderful period of learning and maturity for me,” she says.
