<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><item href="/class-notes/chenxi_gao.html" dsn="news"><item_date>05/05/2026 01:32:44 PM</item_date><title>Chenxi Gao</title><firstname/><middlename/><maidenname/><lastname/><graduation_year/><body><p><strong>Chenxi Gao</strong> (’24 M.F.A.), Roanoke, Virginia, is an artist and educator who uses prints and mixed media in her work. Her newest solo exhibition, <em>Tracing the Traces</em>, runs from May 9 to June 5 at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center in Dallas. Chenxi has worked as a teaching fellow at UNT and as an instructor at the University of Arkansas, and is currently an assistant professor in printmaking at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Her work explores themes of locality, transience and how a person both shapes and is shaped by the places they call home. Chenxi’s work has entered the permanent collection of the Bradbury Art Museum at Arkansas State University and has been featured at juried exhibitions in China, France and the United Kingdom.  </p></body><image><img src="/_images/chenxigaochair.jpg" alt="Illustration by Chenxi Gao "/></image><alumni_association_member>No</alumni_association_member><author/><type>class-notes</type><categories/><relationships/><main-content>
