Vernon King, Baytown :: has received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who for his achievements in art. After working for Lockheed Martin Corp. and DuPont for three decades and earning a master’s degree from the University of Houston, he served as an art educator at several schools in the Houston area in the 2000s. From 2003 to 2006, he was an adjunct professor at Lone Star College-CyFair. Vernon’s artwork has been exhibited in art galleries across the nation, and he has won many awards.
