Susannah Holbert O’Bara, Denton, was named superintendent of Denton ISD. The lifelong Denton resident, who earned a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies and teaching and a doctorate in educational leadership at UNT, built her career with the district. She has served in various capacities, including three years as assistant superintendent of academic programs, where she oversaw academic programs and operations at the Denton ISD’s 43 campuses. She was a finalist for the 2013 Texas National Distinguished Principal Award.
