Shon Joseph (M.Ed.), DeSoto, who has served as principal of DeSoto High School for three years, has been named Outstanding Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals and will compete for the national title that will be announced in July 2022. Shon earned his master’s in educational leadership and administration from UNT through a Southwest Securities Communities Foundation of Texas Superintendent Certification Scholarship. An educator for 23 years, he has taught speech, math and English and coached football, basketball and track.
