SARA NURRE TARVIN (’83 M.Ed.), Sherman. She won the Sherman Ex-Students Association Distinguished Faculty Award, given to those who have distinguished themselves in their professional lives and their community and home, exemplified leadership and displayed high ethical standards. She taught for 36 years, with 24 in Sherman ISD. She retired in 2015.
