Randy McKinney, West Monroe, La. :: spearheads the program that will receive the National Rural Health Association’s 2019 Award for Outstanding Rural Health Program in May. He serves as rural health clinic administrator at the Bienville Parish Hospital Service District No. 2 in Arcadia, La. It is the first in Louisiana and one of the first in the nation to partner with all public schools in the parish to provide medical services to children through telehealth infrastructure, which involves a face-to-face encounter and examination by the medical provider through secured internet connection.
