Peter Grant (M.S.), Weatherford, Okla. :: a biology professor at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Committee of the International Conferences on Ephemeroptera (mayflies) at an international conference in Aracruz, Brazil. He earned a Ph.D. at Florida State, taught at Morris College for three years, and has been at Southwestern since 1988. He has studied the ecology, systematics and behavior of mayflies; compiled an annual bibliography on mayflies for the Society of Freshwater Science for 27 years; and founded, edited and published an international newsletter on mayflies for 26 years.
