Marci Goldberg, Silver Spring, Maryland, was recognized as the 2021 Girls on the Run of Montgomery County (Maryland) Volunteer of the Year. Marci has been a Girls on the Run volunteer community coach at Bradley Hills Elementary in Bethesda, Maryland, since the spring 2016 season. Besides being the head coach of her team of 3rd to 5th grade girls, she has been actively involved with her local Girls on the Run council. She has been on the End of the Season Celebratory 5K committee for both the fall and spring seasons and has raised funds for the council while racing and training for triathlons and marathons. “Being a Girls on the Run coach has been life's greatest honor,” she says.
