Lynne Dees (’75, ’80 M.F.A.), Bedford, earned her Ph.D. from Texas Woman’s University in health studies with a concentration in higher education. She is an associate professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and is the continuing education specialist for Irving Fire Department paramedics and EMTs. Her dissertation was “Perceived sleepiness and sleep deprivation among firefighters and emergency medical services providers working a 24/48 shift schedule.”She says she does still use the knowledge she gained from her art degrees at UNT.
