Lt. Col. Michael W. Parkhill (’99 M.Ed., ’05 M.S.), Lindsay :: completed the Scientist-Astronaut Training Program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida. He was selected for training as part of Project PoSSUM (Polar Suborbital Science in the Upper Mesosphere) that studies noctilucent clouds. He has been an aerospace officer with the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary and NASA for 13 years. He also is a member of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation and Suborbital Applications Research Group and is enrolled in Air Command and Staff College at Alabama’s Maxwell AFB.
