KURT KLEIN, New Braunfels, has published his first book, The SMITH Principles: Leadership from a Place of Truth. He first worked as an exercise psychologist at the GM Truck Assembly Plant in Arlington and as a personal trainer for 24 Hour Fitness before going into management with Life Time Fitness. Klein currently runs his own wellness company and teaches marketing, management, organizational leadership and change as an adjunct faculty member at Hallmark University in San Antonio. While at UNT, he worked with faculty members Karen Weiller-Abels, James Morrow, James Lott and Harrell Gill-King. “I still have all their text and notes,” he says. “I know that probably makes me quite the nerd.”
