Keith Javors (’93, ’96 M.M.), Philadelphia, Pa., completed a March tour of Russia and Poland and April concerts in New York City with renowned Russian tenor saxophonist Oleg Kireyev. The European version of the group — Kireyev on saxophones, Javors on piano, Addrejez Swies on bass and Kristop Smanda on drums — finished the tour with a recording for Polish label BCD Records. At New York’s Iridium, Javors and Kireyev were joined by Boris Kozlov on bass and E.J. Strickland on drums for a CD premiere of a second project, recorded at Bennett Studios.
