JOSH ROBERTS (’08 M.P.A.), Argyle, was promoted to assistant chief for the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), serving Region 1 and its 42 counties throughout the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Texoma and northeast Texas areas. Josh has served more than 12 years in several positions in emergency management agencies at state- and local-levels in Texas and Florida. He has worked in numerous large-scale incidents and events, such as Hurricane Harvey, the Ebola outbreak and the West fertilizer plant explosion. He previously worked as emergency manager and neighborhood services director for the City of Lewisville, Texas, where he administered several programs within local emergency management agencies across all phases of disaster. He also worked as Disaster District 4 coordinator for the Texas Division of Emergency Management, emergency management specialist for the City of Dallas and emergency management coordinator for Lee County, Florida. He holds his Certified Emergency Manager certification with the International Association of Emergency Managers and periodically guest lectures in emergency management courses at UNT.
