Henry O. Adkins, Plano :: has published a new book in his Common Sense series,  Common Sense Grand Parents. His previous books include Common Sense Your Way to Success, Common Sense Marriage, Common Sense Parents and Common Sense Your Way Through College. He was a former director of social services for the City of Dallas and a professor of political science and director of community services for Dallas County Community College District before retiring in 2004. He is the father of Angela Adkins-Downes, professor of practice and assistant director of experiential education at the UNT Dallas College of Law. She was recognized by the North Texas Business and Professional League, Inc. of Dallas County, for her work fighting against discrimination.
