Chance Dunlap ('14 M.F.A.), Brookston :: is an artist and art professor teaching sculpture, design and art appreciation at Tyler Junior College since 2014. He began welding steel sculptures, but while at UNT, he went back to his roots and began working with wood – just as he did as a child when his family made birdhouses. His colleagues include Derrick White (’92, ’96 M.F.A.) and Paul Jones (’03 M.F.A.). Other former or retired Tyler Junior College art professors include Jake Allee (’03 M.F.A.), Barbara Holland (‘68) and Charles Cavanaugh (‘68).
