2018Celeste Gracia, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, who earned a bachelor’s in broadcast journalism at UNT, is an environment reporter with public radio station WUNC. She covers topics including sea level rise on the coast, water pollution cleanup in rivers, the clean energy transition and old-growth trees in national forests. Her reporting series, “Scorched Workers,” looked at how rising heat fueled by climate change impacts outdoor workers.
