LinkedIn.com group launched

Alumni can improve connections with former classmates and other UNT alumni through a newly launched University of North Texas Alumni-North Texas Exes group on LinkedIn.com, a professional networking web site with more than 15 million users worldwide.

"There are already more than 13,000 North Texas alumni using LinkedIn.com, but most are not connected with one another," says Derrick Morgan, North Texas Exes executive director. "Our new group will help make those connections a bit easier."

He says alumni registered at LinkedIn.com who add the North Texas Exes group to their account can find old friends and broaden career opportunities. They also will have access to industry experts within the LinkedIn.com network who are UNT graduates.

To join, alumni, students and friends must first register with LinkedIn.com, which is free but also offers paid accounts with enhanced features. Alumni can be part of the new North Texas Exes group by visiting the link on the North Texas Exes web site at www.ntexes.org.
