Six former UNT athletes were inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame during Homecoming festivities Oct. 18. Members of the 2003 class were honored at a breakfast prior to UNT's Homecoming game against Utah State. In 2004, UNT will mark the 50th anniversary of its desegregation with a yearlong observance, 50 Years of Progress and Opportunity, 1954-2004. Plans include a musical gala, alumni and Homecoming gatherings, a halftime celebration at a football game, speakers and an issue of The North Texan featuring the subject.
