The
International Edible Book Festival was celebrated in UNT's
Rare Book Room April 1. French gastronome Jean-Anthelme
Brillat-Savarin, famous for his book Physiologie du
goût,
was born on that day in 1755. During the annual event,
edible books are exhibited and eaten from 2 to 4 p.m. around
the world.

The
First Great UNT Cleanup and Beautification Day took place
April 5. More than 275 volunteers spent the morning on
various projects around campus, including planting trees,
cleaning and preparing flowerbeds, painting a concrete
wall along Eagle Drive and picking up litter on campus
and in the Fry Street area.

Dancing
was the order of the day at the Spring Fling on campus
April 10, sponsored by the Traditions Committee of the
University Program Council. The end-of-the-school-year
festival featured face painting, caricature artists, food
and live music.
