Brian Bray (M.S.), Nacogdoches, and his wife, Claire, welcomed daughter Julia Eleanor in April 2004. Brian works as the historic sites manager for the city of Nacogdoches.

Thomas Dixon II, Chicago, was promoted to supply chain manager — forecasting with PepsiCo Beverages & Foods and moved from Indianapolis to Chicago. He has worked with PepsiCo for five years, beginning with an internship completed while at UNT. In 2004 he completed his M.B.A. at Baker University in Overland Park, Kan.

James Popejoy (D.M.A.), Grand Forks, N.D., is director of bands and director of graduate studies in music at the University of North Dakota, where he was promoted to associate professor of music. He received outstanding faculty/adviser awards from several UND organizations last year and remains active as a classical and jazz vibraphonist. He performs in Pluckstruck, a faculty duo with classical guitar.

Veronica Rojas-Bowles, Federal Way, Wash., earned her master's degree in social administration from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University in August.

Mark Tonelli (M.M.), Rowlett, won third place in the jazz category of Billboard Magazine's 12th annual World Song Contest for his composition "Il Mondo," on which he played guitar with the Mark Tonelli Group. Among the prizes were inclusion on a winner's CD distributed to industry professionals. "Il Mondo" is the second song from his CD Chasing the Myth to receive recognition. The song "Storm" was featured in 2003 on National Public Radio's All Songs Considered.

Jeff Robins, Lubbock, is a producer-director for Cox Communications and has helped with the creation of a new
local Cox network in Lubbock. He is also handling audio/visual production for the Ethics in Business Conference featuring Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf. He and his wife, Jenny, have two daughters, Lauryn and Emma.

Natalie Burge, Edna, married Christopher Schneider on Sept. 6.

Louellen S. Coker (M.A.), Denton, owner of the publications business Content Solutions, spoke at the Society for Technical Communication Region 5 Conference in Salt Lake City in October on the challenges of starting a consulting business. Content Solutions received two Awards of Merit in the technical communication competition of the society's Lone Star Community in January. It was certified as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise last fall.

Abla Lynn Hamza, Dallas, joined the Young Artist Program at Opera North in Lebanon, N.H., and performed the lead role in Gounod's Romeo & Juliet in August.

Thomas Moorman (Ed.D.), Weatherford, was named associate vice president for student affairs at the UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth. He has worked at the health science center for more than nine years.

Mariana Luna, Beeville, is the sixth-grade teaching coordinator at Beeville's Thomas Jefferson Intermediate School. She also assists at the middle school and high school. During her time at UNT she was involved in organizations including the Talons, the Residence Hall Association, the Crumley Residence Hall Association and the National Residence Hall Honorary.
