Video: Tom Cundari, 2017 Eminent Faculty Award

Thomas R. Cundari, Regents Professor of chemistry, was awarded the 2017 Eminent Faculty Award this fall. He received a $15,000 check, a commemorative engraved gift and the honor of being an Eminent Faculty Awardee. In his 26-year career, Cundari and his research group have 340 peer-reviewed scientific papers, and Cundari Group alumni are now working in research positions in national labs, industry and academia. Cundari is a co-founder and director of UNT’s Center for Advanced Scientific Computing and Modeling, a group that has grown from two faculty members to more than 100 faculty, students and staff in fewer than 10 years. The center has earned UNT recognition as an international leader in the field of computational modeling and simulation.
