UNT alumnus John Liddle uses voice as radio broadcaster, National Anthem singer

John Liddle ('05) ( Photo by Cody Roper)John Liddle ('05) has used his radio, TV and film degree as a radio broadcaster -- working for eight years for Southwestern Oklahoma State University and then serving as the voice for the Mean Green women's basketball team beginning last year. He also works as a traffic reporter/producer at NewsRadio 1080 KRLD.

Liddle, who was sports director at KNTU as a junior and senior, also has another gig -- performing the National Anthem at sporting events, including Texas Rangers games.

"I've always enjoyed singing. In fact, my first major at UNT was musical theatre," he says. "Since I'm always around sporting events, it seemed like a very natural fit."
