Sorority houses ribbon cutting

“If you are a Delta Gamma or a Kappa Delta and you are happy, let me hear you!”
The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Delta Gamma and Kappa Delta sorority houses opened to cheers of excitement from the sorority members Saturday afternoon as Bonita Jacobs, vice president of student development, encouraged them to show their enthusiasm. UNT President Gretchen M. Bataille, UNT System Chancellor Lee Jackson, the project’s lead architect and national representatives for each sorority also spoke during the ceremony.
The two additions to Sorority Row sit next to the Kappa Kappa Gamma house on the corner of Highland Street and Bernard. The new houses will each accommodate 26 women.
