Robert Harmison Robert Harmison (Ph.D.), Harrisonburg, Va. :: was named a Fellow of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) at their annual conference in October in Indianapolis. AASP is an international professional organization dedicated to promoting the development of science and ethical practice in the field of sport psychology. A fellow is an AASP member who has achieved distinction through significant contributions to academic and professional practice knowledge in sport and exercise psychology. Harmison became a Certified Consultant (CC-AASP) in 2002. He is the Kibler Professor of sport psychology at James Madison University in their department of graduate psychology, where he teaches courses in applied sport psychology and mental toughness and provides consultation services to JMU student athletes and coaches.
