Poetry collection

Regents Professor of English Bruce Bond suffered two long-term nervous system infections that led him to think about the relationship between the mind and the body — and inspired his newest poetry collection, Choir of the Wells (Etruscan Press).
Bond wrote most of the poems during a five-year span, using a UNT Institute for the Advancement of the Arts Fellowship and a Research and Creativity Enhancement award.
"The scope of the work attempts to hit many registers in terms of meditative depth, lyric speed and surreal vitality," he says, "while grounding itself in dimensions of personal and cultural history."
