UNT professor Angie Wilson lands leadership role, award from international counselor organization

Angie Wilson (Photo by Gary Payne)Angie Wilson, assistant professor of counseling and higher education, always wanted to help people and be someone people could talk to, especially those from underserved populations. Her work in counseling has been the perfect fit. She recently was elected the 2016-17 secretary for the International Association of Addictions and Offender Counselors for her dedication to that work.

She also received the association's 2016 Outstanding Addiction/Offender Professional Award for her contributions to the field through her clinical practice work with sex offenders.
